GOTTHARD – album title confirmed
The title of the next GOTTHARD album, being released on September 4th, is confirmed now: the record will be called “Need To Believe”.
“We want to encourage”, singer Steve Lee explains about the decision. “Especially in these times that are full of crisis it is important to believe in something. There is a wonderful saying, that “will can move mountains”. If you are positively thinking and never give up, you will win in the end. That has always been GOTTHARD ´s belief.”
And currently there might be no better example to this than GOTTHARD themselves: next to a film soundtrack for the upcoming “Max Schmeling” movie (April 2010) there is also a big tour through Germany confirmed, featuring EUROPE as special guests!

UNTER FERNER LIEFEN – Hopeful newcomer is gaining enthusiasm
Munich/Berlin/Heidelberg – Under the flag of UNTER FERNER LIEFEN, a newcomer act is doing its first steps these days and can already cause a lot of enthusiastic reactions by this.
The band performing high class Pop music with German lyrics consists, among others, of the former LIQUIDO members Wolfgang Schrödl (vocals, keyboards) and Stefan Schulte-Holthaus (drums, formerly bass). With a first demo EP “Fluchtpunkte” as well as a homepage, www.unterfernerliefen.net, the group is presenting itself to the audience for the first time.
UNTER FERNER LIEFEN are thereby concentrating on internationally played Pop music with high class and authentic German lyrics – a music that reflects the personal lives´ experiences of the musicians and adds something fresh to the German music scene.
UNTER FERNER LIEFEN has been found by a group of former school mates who are until today friends.
The interest the business shows to the band already is unbelievable – already few days after finishing up the demo numerous enthusiastic reactions can be experienced.
Musician ´s network Regioactive has already picked two songs for their “editorial hint”, also several radio stations are playing the songs already. Also the first live dates can already be confirmed:
On June, 13th, the band will play the Sachsen-Anhalt-Tage taking place in Thale, on October 24th the “Get In The Ring” in Frankfurt.

Movie about MAX SCHMELING will feature a GOTTHARD song as its soundtrack
Wiesbaden- These days the filming of a movie about German box legend Max Schmeling will start. The movie will be directed by Uwe Boll (“Postal”, “Swords Of The King”) and will be at the movies in April 2010. The main actor in the film telling about the spectacular life of Max Schmeling will be the big German box star Henry Maske. Successful Swiss rockers GOTTHARD will be responsible for the soundtrack – it will be a brand new song from the upcoming album being released on September 4th.
It is a heroic and historically impressive biography, Max Schmeling has written. Being a professional box champion during Hitler and the Second World War, he becomes internationally famous. Thereby, he, from the beginning on, clearly is against Hitler – a political opinion that, without his boxing carreer, could have cost his life.
Director Uwe Boll is proud to announce Henry Maske for playing Max Schmeling. “No other could play Max Schmeling that authentically”, he says.
Henry Maske is currently taking lessons in being an actor. The film will be shot in Zagreb, Coratia, as there are still many old streets looking like in Max Schmeling ´s times. GOTTHARD will meet Henry Maske there when they come over to shot a video clip to the soundtrack song.
“A movie like this needs a strong Rock song”, Uwe Boll explains. “The music by GOTTHARD perfectly fits. When I first heard their songs, I was immediately convinced.”
To have the video clip in the same style than the movie, it will be shot in 35mm technique – which normally is only used in movies. Song and clip – in which you can see the first scenes from the movie – will be introduced with the release of the new album in September as well as during the double headlining tour through Germany along with EUROPE.

THE FIRE – Rocking down Frankfurt ´s Tattoo Convention
Frankfurt – Even the sizzling tattoo needles got jealous: on Saturday night Italian Punk Rock passion THE FIRE were playing the biggest European Tattoo Convention taking place in Frankfurt ´s trade fair area.
The showcase, during which visitors still got tattooed at some of the booths, has been a more than spectacular possibility for playing for the strong southern Europeans. With the showcase, the group has chosen for an extraordinary way of promotion and could, due to that, give even more proof to how self-secure they are on stage.
Especially the current single “Emily” made visitors and tattoo artists equally moving in front of the stage. The song is exclusively available through www.mp3.de and has also been played at radio big FM during the Tattoo Convention.
DORO – Rock singer announces cooperation with TERRE DES FEMMES!
Tübingen, 02/09/2009. Today DORO has visited the official office of TERRE DES FEMMES in Tübingen, Germany and has introduced a cooperation with them.
„As a child I have experienced, how Turkish women got beaten by their husbands, just in the house where I lived as well“, DORO remembers. “I always had a hammer next to my bed to feel safe.”
Violence happening to women at home is one of the major topics, next to the injury of human ´s rights on women, that TERRE DES FEMMES are fighting against. During her visit in their office, DORO could learn a lot about their work and their different international projects – several of them against female genital mutilation.
These impressions made DORO finalize her plan to support the ladies of TERRE DES FEMMES. During her tour starting in May the Rock singer will sell a limited charity shirt. The sales will be donated to TERRE DES FEMMES completely. Fans can show their support for human ´s rights this way.
The shirt will be the beginning of a long-term cooperation between DORO and TERRE DES FEMMES.
And the start couldn ´t have been any better: DORO ´s new release “Fear No Evil” has entered the German media control charts on position number 11!!
This is the highest entry for Doro since 1990!

ALICE MONDIA – Live at Cebit
The Cebit, Europe ´s biggest trade fair for technology, has always been well-known for presenting the hottest trends of the near future. This year, this will also be the case when it comes to music. Swiss artist ALICE MONDIA will give her debut at the booth of Transcend, a company being famous for, among others, its hardware products for mp3.
So before ALICE MONDIA will start her career in Germany this upcoming summer, trade fair visitors will be able to pre-listen to her emotional, big Rock songs on all presented mp3-players as well as during a showcase on Saturday at 15:00h.
ALICE MONDIA has decided for this showcase at booth B60 in hall 26 as “Transcend are a very ambitioned label when it comes to pm3-players”, the artist explains.
“We want to connect what belongs together anyway – good music and good mp3-players”, Rantje Looft, head of marketing, Transcend Germany, says.

THE FIRE – Aiming at the Tattoo Convention with “Emily”: mp3 single will give the tattoo needles´ beat
On March, 21st, it will become hot at Frankfurt ´s Tattoo Convention, the biggest one in Europe: Italian Punk rockers will present their brand new single “Emily” during a showcase.
Next to the single – available at www.mp3.de – THE FIRE will also present a bunch of new songs from the upcoming album as well as their tattoos, of course. Showtime will be 21:00h.
Radio bigFM, presenting the Tattoo Convention, will play “Emily” during the shows “60 Minutes Rock” and “Track Attack”.
For all who can ´t get enough of the hot Italians: on March 22nd the guys will play as a special guest of VORZEIGEKINDER in Munich ´s Backstage.
PRIMAL FEAR – First messages about the mysterious „16.6.“ album
Stuttgart ´s Metal commando PRIMAL FEAR is sending first messages about their upcoming album with the mysterious title “16.6. – Before The Devil Knows You ´re Dead” into the world wide web. Under www.primalfear.de as well as under www.myspace.com/primalfearofficial the first out of five clips, that has been shot in the depths of the studio, is online now. The clips show the band during the recordings of “16.6. – Before The Devil Knows You ´re Dead” – and who knows, maybe they already reveal some first hints to the meaning of the mysterious album title?
The album, by the way, will be released at May, 22nd. The European tour will start September, 24th – until then the band has played whole South America already.

EXILIA – On Tour and in German youth magazine “Bravo"
Italian Alternative Metal group EXILIA are showing presence at the moment. Live as well as in the media, While their tour together with US trend setters ILL NINO starts these days, a review about their brand new album “My Own Army” is published in Germany ´s biggest youth magazine “Bravo”.

DORO– Release parties for the new album
Along with the release of the new DORO album “Fear No Evil” on January 30 th , two release parties will take place with the Metal Queen in Ludwigsburg and Nürnberg.
On January 23 rd in Nürnberg and on January 24 th in Ludwigsburg DORO will sign autographs from 22 h on and introduce a couple of new songs together with the DJ.
To thank her most grateful fans specially, fanclub members will have free entrance on both parties by showing their membership card!
In Ludwigsburg, the official record ´s baptism will take place as well. The one knowing most in the DORO quiz during the evening will be allowed to baptize the album together with DORO.
